Sleeping Baby Hearing Foundation

The Sleeping Baby Hearing Foundation (SBHF) was established in 2013 to help promote early identification and treatment of hearing loss in newborns and infants worldwide.

Goals

At this time, the main work of the Foundation is focused on:

  • Developing Version 2.0 of the Sleeping Baby Hearing Test App
  • Marketing the App to the health care community including family practitioners, pediatricians, neonatologists, pediatric and neonatal nurses and nurse practitioners, audiologists, and speech and language pathologists
  • Translating the App into multiple foreign languages, beginning with a Spanish language version
  • Updating the original SBHT video demonstrating the use of a mobile phone
  • Facilitating a scientific study of the App compared to conventional newborn ABR and OAE screening
  • Establishing sponsors and benefactors to help further the work of the Foundation

Foundation Board Members

Current members of the Board and consultants are strictly volunteers. Each member is highly qualified to serve on the Board and maintains a keen interest in the early identification and treatment of hearing loss in children.
